Students are expected to be fully engaged in their professional development from day one of their time at the Academy, proactively seeking and preparing for opportunities as they arise, and self-directing as they navigate their professional or career pathway.
The Academy strongly encourages internships which allow students to put their skills into practice in real-world work environments, while expanding their professional networks. The wide-ranging nature of the Academy's curricular elements, along with its focus on critical thinking, prepares students for internships and careers in a variety of industries and fields.
IYA Industry Connect is a comprehensive online internship and job database where Academy students and employers can connect. The database offers students the opportunity to cultivate job leads and augment their professional network. From their first day with the Academy until they graduate, students can plan for a successful and dynamic career. Available specifically to Academy students, IYA Industry Connect provides direct and exclusive access to the latest internship and job opportunities.
