Costumes paraded on the lawn in front of Iovine and Young Hall this Halloween, but there were no witches, skeletons, or vampires in sight. Instead, USC Iovine and Young Academy students constructed costumes that represented hard work, ingenuity, and originality. Challenged with dressing up as their senior capstone Garage Experience projects, they brought their visions to life through expressive ensembles (and even interactive sketches). 

How does one dress up as a platform that connects investors with startup data? Or, a language app that automatically translates using augmented reality? These IYA students figured it out… going above and wildly beyond. Staff and faculty even judged students on how well they communicated their projects through outfits alone, and The Loop – bra-fitting and purchasing using virtual sizing technology – came out victorious. 

From representing a college delivery service to the future of zero gravity filmmaking, original ideas went from concept to costume through sheer creativity and collaboration. Check out how these students dressed to impress.
