With over 20 years of experience as a creative director, commercial director, designer and editor, Carsten Becker has worked with brands including Adidas, Sprint, Lexus, Microsoft, Amazon Studios, Cirque du Soleil, Disney, Dolby, ESPN, GMC, Google, HBO, Sony, United Healthcare and Visa. He teaches multimedia design at the USC Iovine and Young Academy and developed the Academy's multimedia curriculum.

Becker started his career in freshly-reunified Berlin. Just before the turn of the millennium, he relocated to Los Angeles on a Conservatory scholarship at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. Becker has worked with multidisciplinary design studio Imaginary Forces and other notable creative agencies on a wide range of brand experiences. He was a key contributor in designing film title sequences for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, the Mission: Impossible series, Snow White and the Huntsman and five visionary sequences of the film Across the Universe. He has also directed spots for GMC, Amazon, Red Bull, Honda and created opens for ESPN’s Monday Night Football. In 2014, he broke out on his own to direct commercials and other filmed and animated content. His client portfolio includes Apple, Marvel, Nike, Snap and many other leading brands.

Becker recently joined U.S. West Coast-based Invisible Thread, an Experience Studio focused on using immersive media and live interactive installs to advance awareness of social and climate issues. Invisible Thread also pioneers new forms of communication through augmented reality and convergence of physical and digital spaces.
