Students celebrated Halloween in true USC Iovine and Young Academy fashion donned in original costumes that represented their Garage Experience projects. Teams and individuals descended on the front lawn of IYH ready to exhibit their unique ideas in sartorial form. The twist? Academy faculty and staff had to judge their costumes to assess how well they communicated their concepts visually. 

There were plenty of tricks and treats on parade – from a wearable patch that analyzes heart rhythms to a sustainable solution for event planning. It’s not easy to depict a Blockchain browser through a DIY ensemble, but somehow team dubdubdub managed to sport the concept with confidence. Ultimately, it was the creative collaboration of Buy Blvd, a next generation application for brick-and-mortar shopping, that won over the judges through their elaborately expressive attire.
